General questions

A New Build Property, also known as a new construction or newly built home, refers to a residential property that has been recently constructed and has never been occupied by a previous owner.

These properties are built from the ground up, often within newly developed neighbourhoods, communities, or housing projects.

New build Properties can encompass a wide range of housing types, including single-family Homes, Townhouses, Duplexes, Dual Key Homes, Co-Living Homes, Terrace Houses and Apartments.

Depending on the type of build and purchase, there are different payment plans. If it is under construction, the process is usually a holding deposit, then a deposit and the remainder at completion.

If it is a Single contract or SMSF property, the process usually is a holding deposit, then a deposit and the remainder at completion.

If it is a 2 part contract, the payment process is usually a holding deposit, a deposit on unconditional and complete payment of the land contract settlement, then a deposit and staged payments during the build with a final payment at handover.

Each builder is slightly different. Buy New Queensland can help you with all stages of the process.

Requesting to visit other completed properties by the same builder can give you a tangible sense of their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall build quality.

New build properties often come with basic landscaping, but the extent of it can vary.

Some builders provide fully landscaped yards, including plants, grass, and irrigation systems, while others might leave the outdoor space as a blank canvas.

Inquire about the landscaping plans for the property and whether you can customise it according to your preferences.
